I'm a poet and short story writer with publications online and in print. Please see Links for examples of my work. My first collection of poetry was short-listed for The London Fringe New Poetry Award 2010. Other poems have been placed or short listed in regional competitions such as The Brighton Fringe Festival Poetry Competition, Sefton Poetry Competition, Wrexham Poetry Competition, Kingston Poetry Competition, Berkshire Poetry Competition and P.H.R.A.S. Poetry Competition. Among other venues, I have read my work at the O2 Festival in Hyde Park, and at the XX Festival in Wales. I've facilitated workshops for young people, the elderly, and, in health care settings, for the bereaved. I also trained as a nurse and worked for the NHS for over thirty years.
